Rosé by The Feeling
I've been trying to find a prettier rock song for months now but have been unable to find an alternative. I had never heard of The Feeling when I first stumbled upon this gem of a song. Needless to say, Rosé quickly changed that and I looked up this new band, only to be disappointed with the outcome. I listened to each and every song on their album Twelve Stops and Home and found crazy Pop Rock. I couldn't believe that Rosé, or even Sewn, came from the same band, let alone the same album, as their song I Love It When You Call. I wanted ten more songs like Rosé!
Rosé opens with a piano slowly changing to a soft guitar and vocals. Throughout the song the sound alternates between piano and guitar and sometimes plays both. The song gradually becomes harder as drums come into play but it doesn't lose its soft touch. The combination of the melody and lyrics make it beautiful whatever the true meaning of the song is. Who really knows what the song is about? Maybe not even its writer! Wine? Love? Gay Pride? Perhaps all three. But who cares? I don't! Believe what you want the song to be about. It won't hold special meaning and value to you, if it applies to someone else.
Over all, I love the song, and I don't say that about many songs. Like I said, it's a pretty little alt rock song. And I'll have to hope The Feeling comes up with more songs like Rosé for their next album.
