Tina Arena's new album- Songs of love and loss[/B]
Tina gives once again another stunning performance with her own personal and unique sound to each song about love and loss. Classic and sophisticated, this album is perfect for a glass of wine for two, or just relaxing watching the sun go down. The album expresses songs, which had meaning and were timeless, and Tina gives us that modern twist. It is perfect for the weekend wind down.
The Vines new single-He's a rocker
The Vines new single, He's a rocker, has a few different sides to it. The sound of a rock show, the sound of the start to a night out and the sound of a group of teenagers belting it out in a garage. This song is reckless as well as telling a story and isn't just a scream-a-thon. It is definitely UK sounding which is unique in Australian music these days.
Thirsty Merc's new single- Homesick
Thirsty Merc have gone a lot sweeter with this new single Homesick. This is a beautiful soft rock love song you have to play with your loved one. It definitely brings out that need to see that special someone. Being a lot more down-tempo than their past singles, they never fail to keep that unique sound, melting hearts with this new single.
Jesse McCartney's new single- Leavin'
You can tell Jesse is growing up with this new single. It is a mixture of Chris Brown, Usher and Nick Lachey with those intense vocal chords and funky beats. He is becoming a little more urban/RnB with this new song, which will be a big hit with the ladies. Girls, turn it up because he's singing to you!
The subways new single- Girls and Boys
The Subways new single is original, vocal and deep but also a little bland. It sounds a little repetitive and nothing stands out but the lyrics. Not much melody or contrast in the song at all. None the less it would be a hit with indie/rock/punk lovers and guitar wannabes. Rock on!
MGMT's album- Oracular Spectacular
This new soft rock band is definitely something to look out for. The flavours of sixtys/seventees soft rock ooze through each and every song, with undertones of pop and indie electro. MGMT are a unique crew with their new exquisite sounds and have mixed such a concoction with this album that it's hard not to listen to it. The album includes a gallery, on tour and video footage. Awesome!
