The Sasquatch! Festival is relatively new with its premiere in 2002. Some of the great bands performing this year include:
- R.E.M.
- Modest Mouse
- M.I.A.
- The New Pornographers
- The Cure
- Death Cab for Cutie
- Cold War Kids
- Tegan & Sara
- The Kooks
- The Flaming Lips (premiere of their U.F.O. show)
- The Mars Volta
- Flight of the Conchords
- The Hives
There will also be a tent with comedians and a movie tent showcasing the premiere of The Flaming Lips "Christmas on Mars".
The festival also has exquisite limited edition artist posters.
The venue itself is in a perfect location. On the edge of a gorge, the general admission seats are on a hill side. Stadium seating without any construction necessary? Yes, exactly. Although there are strict rules on what you can and cannot bring, these are put into effect for everyones safety and happiness.
